Camp Latona is a summer camp located on beautiful Gambier Island in British Columbia, Canada.For over fifty years, Camp Latona has been developing the confidence and life skills in our youth to prepare them for their future challenges and successes. Your skills and experience make you a valuable addition to our staff.
Applicants must be over 18 years of age and demonstrate:
- Standard First Aid and CPR (or willingness to complete course).
- Current BC Drivers License.
- Flexibility, team work, communication, safety consciousness and a drive to finish all jobs are the keys to success in this position
- Currently enrolled in school or registered for school in September.
Maintenance staff is involved in a diverse array of job activities. The ideal person for this position is a handy person familiar with how to properly and safely use tools/small machinery to fix/repair camp facilities and equipment. This position also includes mowing, trimming, weeding and landscaping the site. Other aspects of this position include knowledge of building campfires, cutting and splitting logs for firewood, clearing hiking trails, building new paths, cleaning and fixing toilets and showers, boat driving, assist with the unloading of boats and food and assisting with any other tasks that require attention.
The position commitment is May -September (dates can vary).
Competitive industry wage plus all transportation to and from camp, meals, and accommodations while at the camp.
Successful candidates will require a criminal record search and reference checks.
