Marine Explorers: Registration is open at: https://campscui.active.com/orgs/CampLatona#

Camp Latona and the Vancouver Aquarium have teamed up to offer an experience like no other to offer your children a fun, educational and safe camping experience never to be forgotten. Our camp session is filled with animal observations, hands-on marine science, crafts and traditional experiential education with adventure components. In the natural wilderness setting of the Howe Sound,  your children are fully engaged in an environment that encourages active learning. Children will learn about local animals, life cycles, food webs, nature’s adaptations, ecosystems and sustainability while forming bonds with others, learning leadership and transferable life skills.

Camp starts on Sunday morning at the Vancouver Aquarium, where our extraordinary staff of interpreters will deliver a day of AquaCamp fun and learning. That afternoon, the campers will board the bus and travel to our Camp classroom on Gambier Island for a week of outdoor marine exploration and adventure. The week at Camp will have a primary focus on the intertidal, freshwater and Howe Sound marine environment.

In our signature style, Camp Latona provides a home away from home for campers from around the world who want to have the excitement of camp, with a personalized experience. Our small size, and high, 1:4 staff to camper ratio enables the development of unique, relationships, truly characteristic of the Latona experience. Campers are grouped by age and by gender into their small social groups of 8-10.

With their counsellor and VanAqua Interpreters, your children will experience living as part of a community, encouraging the formation and development of transferable life skills. While of course enjoying a full range of outdoor, land and water based activities they will learn and build confidence in themselves. Our staff are certified, qualified and trained to deliver excellence in programming of our activities, and for the emotional and mental well-being of our campers.

With foundations in both the Camp Latona and Vancouver Aquarium AquaCamps programs this week promises to deliver outdoor experiences of the highest quality. Camp Latona and Vancouver Aquarium remain dedicated to excellence in conservation and education.

Camp Latona returning Campers and Vancouver Aquarium members receive a special rate to join this camp.
