Camp Latona and the Vancouver Aquarium have teamed up to offer an experience like no other to offer your students. A fun, educational and safe camping experience never to be forgotten. Our outdoor education trips are filled with animal observations, hands-on marine science, and traditional experiential education with adventure components. In the natural wilderness setting of the Howe Sound, your students are fully engaged in an environment that encourages active learning. Children will learn about local animals, life cycles, food webs, nature’s adaptations, ecosystems and sustainability while forming bonds with others, learning leadership and transferable life skills.
Join us in our outdoor classroom on Gambier Island for a trip of outdoor marine exploration and adventure. This program at Camp will have a primary focus on the inter-tidal, freshwater and Howe Sound marine environment.
With their outdoor leader and Vancouver Aquarium Interpreters, your children will experience living as part of a community, encouraging the formation and development of transferable life skills. While of course enjoying a full range of outdoor, land and water based activities they will learn and build confidence in themselves. Our staff are certified, qualified and trained to deliver excellence in programming of our activities, and for the emotional and mental well-being of our campers.
With foundations in both the Camp Latona and Vancouver Aquarium School programs this trip promises to deliver outdoor experiences of the highest quality. Camp Latona and Vancouver Aquarium remain dedicated to excellence in conservation and education.
